Adios 2015!

We bid you, 2015, farewell, adieu, goodbye, hasta la vista, ciao and aloha. As we prepare to welcome in the new year, I wanted to look back on 2015 and remember a few of the good times, the special moments and the amazing memories.

We started the year off with a bang by attending Imaging USA in Nashville, TN. It is sponsored by Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and was incredible. Can’t wait to go to Atlanta in January. We also had the opportunity to attend a PPA business class in Atlanta taught by some amazing photographers out of Florida, as well as an awesome class on photographing seniors sponsored by Professional Photographers of Louisiana (PPLA) in Shreveport.

We were able to teach 2 series of classes to some local teens this year, one through the library in Swartz, the other for a home school group. We had so much fun doing those and plan to teach more classes in the upcoming year. Keep your eyes open for  information on those.

We photographed some beautiful weddings and couples this year. People say they love our photos…well its easy to take nice photos when your photographing beautiful, amazing people and that’s what our clients are!

We also started a photo group here in Monroe, and through that have met some fantastic, awesome people/photographers. We go out and photograph different stuff, learn from each other and even hang out when photography isn’t involved. I love these guys and I am so happy that they are a part of my life now.

We were privileged to photograph quite a few families, seniors, and individuals throughout the year as well. We have met some wonderful people here in Monroe and in the surrounding areas. We really, really enjoy meeting new people and are so happy that so many people are now part of the Dark Light family.

In all, it has been an incredible year, and we look forward to 2016 being even better. We want to thank everyone for their support, their helpfulness and their friendship. You are all amazing!
