We are members of PPA (Professional Photographers of America) and every year there is a huge photography convention called Imaging USA. We went last year in Nashville, TN and had such a good time that we decided to go this year (and probably every year from now on).
It was amazing! This year it was in Atlanta, GA so us and another photographer from Monroe loaded into the car at 5am on Jan. 9th and drove the 7 hrs to Atlanta. There, we met with a photographer friend of ours and the fun began!
Imaging is comprised of about 10,000 photographers, including some of the best known people in the industry. We attended classes on lighting, posing, marketing, branding, evoking emotion, landscape photography, seniors, couples, weddings and children & families. We took copious amounts of notes & selfies. We met new people, partied and of course walked around downtown Atlanta in the cold to get pictures.
All in all, it was an awesome experience, and we learned a lot of new tips and tricks that we will add to our arsenal of photography skills. We go to multiple educational workshops, classes & conventions each year so that we can continue to learn, grow and improve. Never stop learning!!!
